The Tech Behind the Tone

Welcome to S.O.T.L Digital Art — a visual journey where moments, landscapes, and perspectives are captured with both artistry and precision.

With roots in traditional 35mm photography, I developed my craft through the timeless discipline of film before expanding into the boundless possibilities of digital and aerial imagery. Today, my work blends classic photographic skill with modern technology — from the grounded intimacy of the camera lens to the sweeping perspectives made possible by drone photography.

My creative path extends beyond visual art. As a guitarist and lifelong musician, I’ve spent years not only performing, but understanding the instrument at its core. While many players simply use their gear, I’ve had the opportunity to engineer and refine it — serving for over a decade as a world-class guitar technician for Jackson Guitars, working hands-on with legendary artists such as Eddie Van Halen, Phil Collen, and Kirk Hammett.

That technical foundation led to collaborating with Bourns Pro Audio to develop the Sean Silas Signature Series guitar potentiometers — precision components designed to meet the demanding standards of rock and metal performance. This experience shapes my approach to all creative work: a balance of artistry, engineering, and attention to detail.

As both a visual artist and musician, my expression moves fluidly between disciplines — photography, digital animation, music, and cinematic storytelling. Each medium informs the other, where rhythm, light, motion, and emotion come together to create immersive experiences.
